For some time now I wanted to read one of Noah's tales and now, that I have the opportunity to grab one for free in Smashwords, I can say I'm truly impressed. I urge you to take your chance on this one: the author's striking narrative compels you to read from start to finish in almost one sitting: this was certainly a book I had to fight to pull myself away from. It deals with the misadventures of Edward Whistman, a magician apprentice, who suddenly finds himself involved in a terrible galactic confrontation between the Plutonians, silvery versions of any grey-type ETs that may usually grace the covers of the National Inksmearer, and the Venusians, satyr-like beings that closely resemble our popular vision of Satan (red-skin guys with goat feet, little horns... all the trimmings save a Snidely Whiplash moustache). The main issue between these two warring factions is their viewpoint over whether humans should be allowed to use magic or not. yep, you that read right, a galactic war due to magic, which certainy does exists in this particular Universe. This book's title playfully hints about the dangers involved whenever humans make use of magic, and I can't really say more without actually starting to give you spoilers, except that Magic TRULY makes you strange. So, this is my recommendation: go ahead... plunge yourself into the misteries concerning the Brontosaurus Pluto society... it's a choice you won't regret.
Excellent book...... no need to read A Million Little Pieces beforehand.
