hmm .. bu kitap ok .... onun tür yavaş ... ama ben okudum sevindim .. gerçekten iyi bir hikaye hattı vardır
It took me a long time to care about the author or the people he came into contact with. But it was always interesting. It reinforced how little I know about life in that part of the world.
Familiarity breeds… ignorance. Most of us lack the curiosity to unearth the history and countless stories locked in the walls of our homes. Not Bill Bryson. Using the rooms of the rectory he was living he, he takes you on a room by room tour and digs up so many interesting tidbits that you'll need to tuck some away in storage. Bryson has for some time been my favorite living writer in English. He continues to earn this level of thermonuclear acclaim in this entertaining book. He's a storyteller first, no matter what the topic, and writes beautiful prose. And he's funny. You'll look at your house through much wider eyes after you've read at home. UPDATE 4 January 2016: When I spotted the Special Illustrated Edition on a bargain table, I thought the illustrations would bring another level to the book. But these illustrations are perfectly chosen and go well beyond supplementing the text; they're beautiful in their own right.
